Those exact words are the words Frank and Fleur wrote to each other some years ago. They met in Uganda at the organization Youth with a Mission where Frank the leader of the outreach team was and Fleur came to volunteer. What started as a friendship grew into a marriage and they are proud parents of their daughter Sennah. The couple was sent out in September 2020 by the local church of Fleur: 'Christian Reformerd Church' of Scherpenzeel. Together with a local team they are leading the community-based organization 'Kimuli Ministries Uganda'.
Frank grew up in a big family on the countryside of Jinja. He always worked with children; he has been a teacher on a primary school for many years. After giving his life to Jesus, he did a DTS (Discipelship Training School) at Youth with a Mission (YWAM). He never went away and is currently in the outreach team of YWAM ToRCH in Jinja City.
From when she was young, Fleur has been having a heart for other people and their cultures. In 2012 she traveled for the first time to the continent Africa and since then the continent captured her heart. She studies Theology and worked as a youth worker in a local church. In Uganda is Fleur also part of the outreach team of YWAM and she is a trainer of a program called Wise Choices for Life.
Living and working in Uganda is impossible to do on our own. Above all and in all it is our God Who provides and takes care of us. But we also have a lot of people around us to build Gods Kingdom in Uganda.
